Wing:

Equal span, unstaggered, single bay biplane of all metal construction, with fabric covering. Top centre section carried above fuselage by splayed out struts and short bottom wing stubs braced to top longerons by sloping struts. One pair of interplane struts on each side of fuselage. Ailerons on all four wings

Fuselage:

Rectangular structure of metal construction, mainly duralumin, and covered with fabric

Tail Unit:

Normal monoplane type. Metal framed and covered with fabric

Landing Gear:

Divided type. Each unit consists of a Vickers oleo compression leg, the top end of which is attached to the outer end of the bottom centre section spar, with a backwardly inclined leg running to the outer end of the rear spar. The apex of this vee is hinged to the underside of the fuselage by an inclined axle.

Power Plant:

One 620 hp Bristol Pegasus IIM3 radial air cooled engine

Accommodation:

Pilots cockpit below the leading edge of the centre section, with an observer / gunners cockpit aft of the wings. Prone bombing position below pilots seat

Armament:

One fixed Vickers gun, firing through the airscrew, with Lewis gun on a Scarff ring over the back cockpit
